Columbia’s first varsity eight finished with a time of 5:51.1, while Penn finished with a time of 5:45.2. Yale claimed victory with a significant lead, finishing in 5:35.3.

The Lions’ second varsity eight finished with a time of 6:03.1, again falling behind the Quakers and the Bulldogs, who finished with times of 5:58.5 and 5:47.6, respectively.

Yale’s third varsity eight finished with a time of 5:53.9, while its fourth varsity eight finished with a time of 6:08.3. Both of the Bulldogs’ boats beat the Lions’ third varsity eight, which finished with a time of 6:18.9.

The Blackwell Cup will begin on Saturday at Columbia’s home course in Overpeck County Park.
