In February of last year, a shoe was thrown at the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. The Chinese media were silent on the incident. The Premier asked Chinese journalists, “Who told you not to report it?” The day after that, the Chinese media reported that a shoe was thrown at the Premier.
