Junior Jayden Pantel set a program record Saturday at Yale with his score of 410.70 in the 3-meter dive, finishing first in the event for the 24th consecutive time.

The men’s swimming and diving squad swept their first weekend of competition, beating Penn (1-1, 0-1 Ivy) 152-148 and Army (1-2) 220.5-99.50 at West Point on Friday.

Sophomore Jayden Pantel represented Columbia men’s swimming and diving at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships this week with a 37th-place finish in the three-meter dive and a 28th-place finish in the platform dive.

Sophomore Jayden Pantel will compete at the NCAA Diving Championships on Wednesday in Atlanta as the lone Columbia representative.  It marks the second consecutive year that Pantel will compete at the three-day event, in which preliminaries begin at noon each day and finals at 6 p.m.

Two Columbia divers will represent the team in the NCAA Diving Zones this week. Sophomore Jayden Pantel and first-year Kevin Fulton will make the trip to Annapolis, Md. to take a shot at qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

Columbia earned sixth at the Ivy League Championships this weekend, finishing the three-day tournament with 786.5 points. The Light Blue (4-6, 3-4 Ivy) trailed Princeton, Harvard, and Penn who took the top three spots, respectively. The Tigers picked up 1520.5 points to win the meet.
