Jon Oringer, SEAS ’98 and founder of Shutterstock, told graduates at School of Engineering and Applied Science Class Day on Monday that they should expect to fail in order to succeed.
Class Day speaker Gale Brewer, GS ’97 and Manhattan borough president, encouraged students to remain in New York City and emphasized the important contributions GS students had on the city.
The comparative literature and society major is writing his thesis on perception and moral autonomy in Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Second Discourse and Immanuel Kant’s Conjectural Beginning of Human History.
