William Campbell, CC ’62, TC ’64, who has chaired the Columbia board of trustees for nine years, is retiring from his post, the board announced on Wednesday. He is succeeded by his co-chair Jonathan Schiller, CC ’69, Law ’73.
Bill Campbell, co-chair of Columbia’s board of trustees, has been named as a central figure in two ongoing, high-profile lawsuits involving major tech companies including Apple, eBay, and Google.
The new chair of the board of trustees should strive for greater transparency, despite the hushed announcement of his appointment.
