The seniors on the Columbia men’s swimming and diving team will take their last shot at beating the top team in the Ivy League, Princeton, at Uris Pool this Friday. But even if they do pull off the upset, the Lions will not have much time to rest on their laurels.

The Columbia men’s swimming and diving team faced off against Navy at Uris Pool on Friday where the Lions fell short to the Midshipmen, 133-162. With the loss, the Light Blue fell to 4-5 (2-3 Ivy).

Putting an end to the Lions’ six-meet winning streak, Princeton defeated the Columbia women’s swimming and diving team 123-156 on Saturday. The Lions are now 8-2 overall (4-2 Ivy) with one meet left on the season.

The Columbia men’s swimming and diving team will be hosting Navy this Friday at Uris Pool. After defeating Brown last weekend, Columbia is sitting at 4-4 with a 2-3 Ivy League record. The Lions will look to improve their record against the Midshipmen, but it will not be easy.

On Saturday the Columbia men’s swimming and diving team hosted Brown for this year’s homecoming meet. The Lions defeated the Bears, 186-112, in front of a packed and enthusiastic fan section.

In its fifth consecutive victory of the dual-meet season, Columbia’s women’s swimming and diving team edged out Brown, 157-143. With the close win, the Lions advanced to 8-1 (4-1 Ivy) while the Bears fell to 2-3 (2-3).

On Saturday, Columbia’s men’s swimming and diving team traveled to Ithaca to face Cornell at Teagle Pool where the Lions were unable to keep up with the Big Red, falling 122-167. The loss brings Columbia’s record to 3-4 (1-3 Ivy) and improves Cornell to 5-4 (3-4 Ivy).
