Last-place lacrosse heads to New Haven to play Yale

  • Keep it away Quinn | First-year Taylor Quinn pulled off a hat trick in the Lions’ loss to UMBC.

The Lions (3-6, 0-4 Ivy) will travel to New Haven, Conn., on Saturday to face Yale (7-5, 1-3 Ivy) as the season enters its home stretch.

The Light Blue hopes to bounce back from a frustrating 10-8 loss to University of Maryland, Baltimore County, on Wednesday. Columbia was unable to match UMBC’s early stretch of goals, and despite a furious second-half rally, came up just short.

The Bulldogs are also coming off a painful loss. They fell to Stony Brook, 11-9, last week. Going into Saturday’s contest, the Elis sit just one game above last-place Columbia in the Ivy League standings.

Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. at Reese Stadium.
