Following four games in which the team demonstrated anything but consistency, the Lions will look to get back to their winning ways as they hit the dirt on Tuesday.
The Lions (14-14) will host the Stony Brook Seawolves (15-13) at Columbia Softball Field for an afternoon doubleheader. The first game of the twin bill is slated to start at 3 p.m., followed by a second matchup at 5:30 p.m.
The home squad comes into the series after a weekend in which it went winless while visiting Dartmouth and Harvard. The Lions will look to rebound from the poor showings as they host a Seawolves squad with a mediocre 8-12 non-conference record.
“We are looking to get back on track in all three facets of the game— hitting, pitching, and defense. We want to find consistency in all three and work hard each pitch,” head coach Kayla Noonan said.
