I don’t really follow student government. I don’t know what CCSC works on, for the most part, although I’m sure it generally consists of beneficial things for me and the rest of the student body. But honestly, I (and probably many of my classmates) wouldn’t know if it were otherwise.
That being said, WTFColumbia.com, CCSC’s new crowdsourcing complaint website, launched this past week, is one of the most impressive initiatives I’ve seen brought to fruition. The site is intended to provide students with a forum for voicing grievances and suggestions about topics ranging from housing and dining to academics and athletics. Users must register an account to upvote or downvote issues, submit issues of their own, or post comments on existing issues.
