Barnard raises Dean's List GPA cutoff

In an email to students, Barnard Registrar Constance Brown announced that students must now earn at least a semester grade point average of 3.60 or higher in order to be named to the Dean's List, effective fall 2013. The current Dean's List policy states that students must earn a full-year GPA of at least 3.40 to earn the distinction. The changes make Barnard's Dean's List policy align with Columbia College's, which raised its Dean's List cutoff from 3.30 to 3.60 in 2001.
