This week in CCSC: formals, responsibilities, pre-professionalism

While its members weren’t studying for midterms, the Columbia College Student Council held its latest meeting on Sunday night to talk responsible community action, pre-professional representation, and swanky sophomores. Rakhi Agrawal brings you the highlights from last night’s CCSC meeting:

  • 2015: A formal class: The 2015 Class Council announced that details have been finalized for its formal class event, to be held on Thursday, April 4 at Hudson Terrace in midtown. Tickets are only open to CC, SEAS, and Barnard students. Hors d’oeuvres will include watermelon cubes topped with goat cheese, cracked pepper & mint, homemade goat cheese and honey tart, savory black sesame cone filled with salmon tartare and edamame, mini Crab Cake with a touch of velvety smoked Rouille, moroccan chicken, feta and spices wrapped in a light phyllo topped with harissa, and black pepper beef tournedos served on crostini with horseradish cream.
