Looking to make the most of the slightly less midterm-filled first week back from break? Take an old-fashioned trip to the old-fashioned movie theater, but with an updated twist. Spec got the chance to join a press conference call with director Sam Raimi, best known for directing all three Spider-Man movies, and actor James Franco about their new movie, "Oz the Great and Powerful."
Raimi brings audiences a new twist on the classic L. Frank Baum series in his new prequel adaptation, which was released on March 8.
Raimi has made films in almost every genre, and they don’t necessarily have a common thread.
“I don’t think of my movies as a body of work,” he said. “I’m first and foremost an entertainer, a storyteller. That’s my job.”
