Amidst the stress of midterms, papers, and major declaration, it’s natural to look longingly back at those simpler high school days. But what if we had stayed in high school for an extra two years? A new generation of New Yorkers will get to find out. In his State of the City Address on Feb. 13, Mayor Bloomberg revealed plans to open two six-year high schools in New York City in the coming years. For some young and wide-eyed New Yorkers, “senior” prom just got postponed by 730 days.
