This evening, the Bacchanal committee announced that Macklemore will be headlining this year's spring concert, along with DJ duo Flosstradamus. The announcement comes three days earlier than planned. The concert will be held April 13.
The committee didn't release the date earlier because of safety concerns that involved the NYPD, which placed a financial burden on Bacchanal and CCSC, Bacchanal's publicity chair Anais Ross, CC '15, said. The committee also withheld the announcement to protect the artists' ticket sale.
This year, there was speculation surrounding who would headline after The Williams Record reported that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis canceled their performances at Williams College and Columbia.
