McAC Elections

Barnard’s largest campus organization, the McIntosh Activities Council, is departing from its old model of executive board appointments and holding elections for the first time. The list of candidates was made public at midnight on April 1 to reveal that every candidate except one is running unopposed.

Voting in McAC elections is restricted to members of SGA, but all members of the Barnard community are encouraged to attend the town hall on April 7 to hear candidate platforms and ask the candidates questions.

McAC has approximately 100 members and  plans Barnard spirit days, events, and traditions such as Midnight Breakfast, Big Sub, and Founders Day.

Be sure to read the news brief in Tuesday’s Spectator for more information on how McAC elections will affect the group’s relationship with Barnard’s Student Government Association and the student body.
