Like how Michael Jackson, the Oxiclean guy, and other celebrities passed away at around the same time a few years ago, we seem to be going through a spate of semi-to-pretty-famous deaths. Some of them were surprising, as any day can be a good enough occasion for some facebook friends of mine to display real contempt for Margaret Thatcher, and when unflattering witticisms about her first started trickling onto my newsfeed this morning it was not a very good indication that this day would be any different from all other days.
