Update: The contest deadline has been moved up to May 1, and there is a $100 prize for the best photos/video of the Columbia colors on Broadway.
Take your time crossing Broadway---the city has filled the Broadway Mall with blossoming distractions (and a chance to smell the roses, if I may).
The Broadway Mall Association has lined the medians from 70th to 168th streets with neighborhood-tailored floral displays. From 114th to 120th Streets, hyacinths in Columbia and Barnard colors are in blossom this week, and there's a photo contest for all you aspiring Instagrammers photographers out there.
