Cesar Galindo / womenswear

An opera house is not a typical place to begin a career in fashion, but that is exactly where Cesar Galindo got his start. Before launching his self-titled label Galindo designed costumes for the Houston Opera, and his Spring 2010 collection evidences this. From the giant disco ball above the runway to the shimmering sequined frocks, drama and volume were everything. Hot pink made its way into many of the pieces, a favorite of divas (both onstage and on the street). Also dramatic were the incredible variety of necklines and collars exhibited on Galindo’s designs.
