Joe Jones has already accomplished something few Columbia coaches have done before him: turn the Light Blue men’s basketball into a legitimate program in the Ivy League. Three consecutive 7-7 finishes may not be a sign of improvement at some schools, but Jones inherited a team that was 0-14 in conference play the year before he arrived and has only one league title in more than 50 years of existence.
