CCSC hosted its first (hopefully) annual “Sophomore Scream” last night. Considering my shoddy attendance record for student council events, I decided to stop by and witness the beginning of a tradition that some day could very well make the Wikipedia page about Columbia. Full disclosure: they were also serving free funnel cake.
I arrived at the steps at precisely 9:28pm to find twenty or so existentially satisfied sophomores gathered around a table, waiting for their funnel cake. There was no sign of the fried treat anywhere.
