Though many progressives would agree with those who are saying that the content of the Texas curriculum is a problem, it is also problematic that the mainstream media’s coverage of the issue has largely played to people’s gut reactions to change, ignoring what lessons Texas might teach us about the failures plaguing our nation’s public schools.
