The beekeeping community has been turned upside down recently with the revelation that beekeeping is now allowed in Manhattan. Commentators are abuzz about the implications of this decision for our campus and community. Though Mark Hay's post yesterday gave some good reasons for why this noble pursuit should be cruelly banned from our Morningside abode, I feel compelled to differ, since the banning of beekeeping prevents the Columbia community from realizing its true potential.
