Columbia announced yesterday that beginning in fall 2010, aspiring journalists can apply for a combined degree from the J-school and SEAS in journalism and computer science. The new program seeks to add to the multi-faceted and constantly evolving identity of the modern journalist (other facets include writer, blogger, and hip hop artist). Students will take two semesters at the J-school and three at SEAS.
