It's Friday now, but we're still here—30-point groups are in the books and juniors are set to wage war for the remainders in Woodbridge, Watt, and ECX. Live from John Jay—the count's still on our board, and liveblog and questions in the comments are after the jump. AND, Barnard Housing! See our separate post from across the way.
4:40: Ben will be here Monday. Pinky promise.
4:36: Watt stands strong with 36 rooms left. Hasta mañana, housing. Or, er, Monday.
4:35: Official counts coming in. Housing is updating their master whiteboard. It's almost like a rare bird sighting to see that thing updated. That should be a wrap, folks. Just waiting on a final Watt count.
4:33: Two girls in Watt studio double #6G. "It's gonna be really good. It's aesthetically pleasing. It's square."
4:30: #1585. Nussbaum walk-through double. May be the first one down.
4:29: As the day comes to a close here in JJ lounge, we're all starting to feel a little sluggish. Goodbye, sugar high. Still waiting for a few end-of-day stragglers to pick in.
4:28: Girls who chose the brownstone are really surprised it went so slowly, but they're very excited that it didn't.
4:24: BROWNSTONE DOWN! Two girls just took the last one. Hot ticket this year, despite its being so new. It's kind of random, but it looks really nice.
4:21: Watt double for a girl with a roommate in Spain. Thank god for proxies. "It's a way bigger room than this year. And it has a kitchen and a bathroom." That seems to be the general consensus around these parts.
4:20: Five-year-old child taking the last of the candy. Vulture.
4:19: Cable in the dorms is $160/semester through Columbia housing. Worth it?
4:17: The two boys in the matching T-shirts have left the cage. And the lounge. Perhaps it's general selection for those two.
4:16: Another group of Ruggles six-person took floor 7 down. The coin flip was for the floor choice, not the singles.
4:15: Boys in matching T-shirts are now looking at Nussbaum.
4:14: Ruggles eight-person suite is flipping coins right now to see who's going to get stuck with doubles. At least they brought their own coin this time.
4:12: We finally picked a Ben Cotton favorite song. He's singing to "Boulevard of Broken Dreams."
4:11: Two boys checking out Watt wearing matching shirts. Roomies fo' life!
4:10: A group in the cage were comparing and contrasting. Ruggles third floor eight-person suite down. There was online coin-flipping for singles involved. EXTREME HOUSING.
4:05: Kinda slow here. People talking about curling. As in the sport. Things are really slow here.
4:01: Housing is handing out Cow Tales for all!
4:00: Britney Spears' "Stronger" is blastin' through the speakers, giving end-of-the-day juniors an extra bit of housing hope.
3:58: And another Watt studio double is gone.
3:57: A Watt studio double and an eight-person Ruggles on the sixth floor both gone. Ruggles seems to be popular this year.
3:51: A Ruggles five eight-person is down.
3:49: Actually, no. The last Woodbridge has been decreasing in popularity steadily for the last 4 years.
3:46: WOODBRIDGE IS GONE at #1227!!!! Lowest cut off ever?
