While New York may be the most diverse city in America, it’s easy to see our art world in shades of gray. Opportunities like the Whitney Biennial give us a contemporary look at what is new and fresh in the American art world, but there are rarely such extensive exhibits devoted to international art. Amidst all the truly great art that American artists are producing today, museum- and gallery-goers can forget about the plethora of contemporary art being created all over the globe. This international art allows us to see things from an altogether different perspective.
