Columbia needs participants. That's not to say that Columbians aren't active or engaged members of the Columbia community. In fact, most of my peers are quite involved in one organization or another in some leadership capacity. But that's precisely the problem. Everyone on this campus is a leader, not a participant. Columbian students lead audiences—they don't make up audiences.
