In a few weeks, Ben Jealous, CC '94 and president of the NAACP, will address the CC class of 2010... instead of who nearly everybody wanted—Barack Obama, CC '83 and the first freakin' black president of these United States.
So what did we miss? In his graduation speech today at the University of Michigan, Obama apparently brought the hammer down on recent critics who think da gumment is "inherently bad"—aka the Tea Partiers—whose rhetoric, according to him, "closes the door to the possibility of compromise."
