Remember those battle of the bands held in high school, when the drummer was your lab partner and you could, "like, totally tell they were going places?" Apparently that's still going on at the College Battle of the Bands, except it's a nationwide contest and a little more competitive than booking a gig in J-Mo's basement.
Jake Snider, CC '13, accompanied by an all-Columbia band mostly from The Morningside Collective, was knocked out at the NY Regional Battle after being selected to perform there in April. They got to play at the National Grand Finale as the Wild Card contestant thanks to being the top rated band on the contest's website. In June, they placed in the Top 4 there in Las Vegas.
