A traditional margarita has only three ingredients: tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice. Bars and restaurants mix them in varying ratios, some stronger, some weaker, and some sweeter, if they add sugar or fruit flavors. When I have triple sec, I use a 1:1:1 ratio. But who the heck wants to spend money on triple sec? Drinks need to be one liquor and one mixer.
