In front of a modest crowd consisting mostly of the Lions baseball team, Jon Mariner, the Chief Financial Officer of Major League Baseball, gave a thorough rundown of the league’s financial state. The event, which was hosted by ZBT, began promptly at 8 p.m. with introductions by ZBT president Kevin Roberts and fraternity chapter advisor Doug Maine. Eight minutes later, Mariner took to the podium with a PowerPoint presentation to discuss what he referred to as the overlooked, business-side of baseball.
