Three times a semester, you can spot Columbia College sophomore William Chen lugging his entire desktop from his dorm to the fifth floor of Lerner. “Each time I carry my speakers, keyboard, monitors, mouse. Oh, and the tower,” Chen says, listing his encumbrances. He has made the trip enough times to work out a solution: putting peripherals in a suitcase and placing the monitor on top of the custom-assembled tower. “As long as you keep the wires untangled in the suitcase, it’s not that big of a deal.”
