“There I see you, you’re walking ’cross the campus/ Cruel professor, studying romances” croons Ezra Koenig, lead singer of indie rock band Vampire Weekend. Every time I hear “Campus,” I wonder if Koenig pictured her, the object of his affection, rushing along College Walk in hopes of making it to Lit Hum on time. After all, Vampire Weekend was formed at Columbia, where all four bandmates were students.
