On Tuesday, Michael Shapiro wrote a column spelling out why Columbia, and the rest of its peers in the Ivy League, need to offer athletic scholarship in order to boost their athletic program and become competitive at a national level. Bart Lopez also chimed in yesterday with his thoughts, so at the risk of beating a dead horse, I'm throwing in my two cents.
