I decided to pick up a Spectator on Wednesday and, on the Opinion page, I saw an interesting editorial proposing the merger of the Activities Board at Columbia and the Student Governing Board.
My immediate thought was: hell yeah. I’ve been involved in campus funding for two years now (I was CCSC’s VP of Funding last year and served on the ABC board both in my sophomore year and this year) and I’m acutely aware of the current system’s weaknesses. But as I read on, I felt that the editorial board entirely missed the point.
