The New York Times' Room for Debate is often home to lively discussions about college. Just the other day, the Times took on the all-too-familiar issue of parents and the process of adapting to college life. As usual, there were plenty of incisive arguments and insightful opinions, but one in particular caught my eye: "Pressure to Text Mom," a post by Middlebury psychology professor Barbara Hofer.
