We all have things that surprise us in our first years at Columbia, like lens essays and evening classes and smart people. For me, it was coats.
Not that I didn't wear coats before I came to Columbia. I did. But when it started getting cold in my first year at Columbia, I was shocked to see that everyone at Columbia has the same coat. And I didn't.
