A motorcyclist is in serious condition after an accident just a few minutes ago on Broadway between 115th and 116th streets. According to witnesses, the motorcyclist swerved to try to avoid a skateboarder in the crosswalk at 116th but clipped the back of the skateboard, which caused him to swerve into a car. The impact sent him flying, and the motorcyclist then lay in the street for several minutes while people on the sidewalk ran to help, and Public Safety and then an ambulance and fire trucks quickly showed up to help. The man has been taken away to the hospital.
