Thanksgiving in the dorm

I haven't been home for Thanksgiving in seven years, and everyone thinks that's, like, "the saddest thing ever," or fakes sympathy for my situation. But why should I be sad? My hometown of Hong Kong doesn't even celebrate my favorite holiday ever, so in that way, I'm much better off here in the good ol' US of A, crashing the Thanksgiving family dinners of friends kind enough to host me.
