For the first time in 372 years, residents of North America will get to view a full lunar eclipse on winter solstice. The eclipse will begin 1:32 a.m. Eastern time, and the total eclipse will occur at 2:41 a.m.
What exactly is gonna happen? Well, essentially, the moon will completely black out at times, and it will also appear to turn red-orange. You'll have to stay up a bit late, but this event has happened only twice since the year 1 A.D.
