The New York Times reports that the popular Vietnamese restaurant Saigon Grill is facing allegations of worker discrimination and harassment...again.
In a complaint filed a month ago, the restaurant workers' union alleged that the restaurant owners Bei and Qiao Lin manipulated the delivery workers' schedules to decrease their tips, harassed workers who expressed interest in forming a union, and fired workers for being too old.
Two years ago, Saigon was forced to pay $4.6 million to its deliver workers, after a federal judge found that the owners at the time, Simon and Michelle Nget, regularly violated minimum-wage and overtime laws, paying their employees as little as $1.65 an hour.
