Bloomberg News reports that the architectural firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro will design two buildings for the Business School as part of Columbia's Manhattanville expansion. The buildings, which will be located west of Broadway between 130th and 131st streets, will cost $500 million to construct. One of the buildings will be named after Henry Kravis, a Business School alum who donated $100 million to the University.
Kravis expressed a specific vision for the new business school building, stating last October that he hopes the building will provide more a larger joint faculty-student space and offer smaller classrooms.
