On my way back to campus yesterday I started thinking about my first blog post of the semester. Knowing full well that it would be published on the first day of classes, I thought I might do an "exciting things to expect this Spring semester" post. But aside from the fact that I only came up with two things (1. It terminates in summer and 2. There's a two week period in late spring - after they remove the tarps from the fields and before finals - that is pretty all-right), that idea all but died when I opened the door to my Wien single.
