I noticed that onefourth of Spectrum posts from the first day of classes were about changes to eateries in and around campus. And I realized that this isn't really surprising or unwarranted—if you want to get Columbians talking (or holding a town hall), just bring up food. And then I said to myself, "Self, what is it about college students that makes us so food-obsessed?"
