Rest easy coffee lovers, Joe Coffee will open its Columbia storefront in the Northwest Corner Building this Monday, Jan. 24. The store will only serve coffee and pastries the first week, but a full menu will be added the following Monday. Spec will have a full review in Tuesday's paper, but here are the must-knows, full menu, and photos of the new space.
- They will have a "Pour Over Bar" station where baristas will brew you coffee by the cup and you can choose which coffee blend you want.
- They will use iPads as cash registers!
- They will sell coffee beans by the pound, as well as coffee equipment like grinders and scales so you can brew your own coffee at home.
- They will be selling Donut Plant Donuts and other offerings from Downtown Cookie Company, This Chick Bakes and Celi Cela, among others.
- They will have free coffee tastings, home-brewing classes, and sustainability lectures in two weeks.
