Well, the first week of school is over, so it's time for the customary airing of grievances.
Why is it that professors feel the need to read through the syllabus on the first day of class? This is a phenomenon I do not understand at all. And this isn't limited to lousy professors—a lot of great ones do it too.
Like almost all of my classmates, I am literate.
