In our new A&E Series "Top Shops," Spec's Melissa Haney will profile some of New York City's chicest and cheapest boutiques. To kick it off, she headed to Teddy, a stylish shop located in our own Upper West Side.
In a perfect world, Bloomingdale’s would accept Flex Points, and Saks Fifth Avenue would offer a significant student discount. Heartbreakingly, this is not the case—if students want to indulge in some much-needed (and we think much-deserved) retail therapy, it seems most options will leave them broke, and, consequently more depressed, and in a position to desire even more. What a tangled, hand-sewn, embroidered, silk web those department stores weave.
