Barnard received a record 5,126 undergraduate applications this year, an 11 percent increase from last year's applicant pool of 4,618 students. Its early decision pool also shot up, increasing 38 percent from 397 students last year to 550 applicants this year. The total application pool, for the first time ever, is above 5,000. The admissions rate last year was 26.5 percent.
