According to a recent survey by the progressive OpEd Project, the Spec stands out among other papers for the amount of estrogen in its masthead.
OpEd collected data from nine different publications ranging from The New York Times to several Ivy papers, and their results suggest that journalism is still very much a man's world (except for us!). Although Spec's editorial content was nearly 60% female-generated in the first two months of the survey, the second-highest ratio (from Yale Daily News) was a mere 33%.
