A few months ago I got an email from Teach for America about on-campus recruitment. This is how it began:
Hi Raphael.
I hope you’re having a great week so far, despite the not-so-uplifting NYC forecast!
It was, of course, a sort of form letter. But the reference to the weather forecast got me excited. Clearly this email had been tailored for me!
The message continued on to explain that I had impressed TFA with my leadership and to wax poetic about how great I am and how great it would be if I met with this recruiter.
