Spectrum would like to offer hearty congratulations to Erin Kara, BC '11, for earning a Gates Cambridge Scholarship. Kara is the first Barnard student to ever win the award, which offers a full-ride scholarship for graduate work at Cambridge. At Cambridge, Kara will pursue a Masters in philosophy in physics.
